Kathryn M. "Kathy" Crippen

Kathryn “Kathy” M. Crippen, 73, of Moline, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Burial will be at the Andover Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Andover Lake Park Fund.

Kathy was born on June 10, 1948, in Moline the daughter of Robert B. and Marjorie E. Caouette Crippen. 

Kathy was employed as a Systems Analyst with the Rock Island Arsenal for 36 years retiring in 2004.  She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover.  Kathy was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan and Quad City Storm season ticket holder and fan; she also enjoyed her day trips with her friends and going to estate sales.  Kathy loved her brothers, nieces, and nephews and all her family and friends especially her cats, Desi and Lucy.

Survivors include her brothers, Kent and Bonnie Crippen of Milan, Daniel Crippen and Gail Probst of Burr Ridge, Illinois, and David and Patsy Crippen of Andover, nieces, Monica Winthrop, Amy Wright and Lindsay Mamula.  Nephews, Robert Crippen, Richard Crippen, Andrew Crippen and Daniel Crippen.  Many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph.
