Obituary

Norman G. Yingling, 50, of Milan, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center Illini, Silvis, after battling kidney and heart disease.

Cremation will take place. Memorials may be made to the family.

Norm was born on July 10, 1972, in Sierra Vista, Arizona, the son of Larry and Nora (Boughton) Yingling. He loved camping bonfires and woodworking. Norm was a talented artist, especially his drawings. He spent much of his time working on model cars and his dad’s 69’ Dodge Super B. Norm also had a vast collection of dream catchers and decorative skulls.

Survivors include his daughter, LaShay Yingling (Jonathan Ackerland), son, Isiah Yingling (Liz Leihsing); parents, Larry and Nora; maternal grandmother, Ellen Showalter; maternal grandfather Gene Boughton; 2 fur babies, Sophie and Stitch and special fur sister, Samantha Jo; adopted sister, Hilary Johnson; several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his baby brother, little Mikey; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Katherine Yingling; uncles, Ronnie Giese, Jim Miers; aunt, Diana O’Tool and many other aunts and uncles.
