William E. Johnson, 94, of Silvis formerly of Hannibal, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Hope Creek Care Center.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.
W.E. was born on January 28, 1928, in Palmyra, Missouri the son of Arvil and Ruby Kelly Johnson. He married Ella Jayne Bingham on May 5, 1951, in Hannibal, Missouri she preceded him in death on July 9, 2009.
W.E. was employed as a supervisor at the John Deere Foundry retiring in 1982. He loved working outside and was very proud of his yard. W.E. enjoyed camping and attending blue grass festivals; but most important was spending time with his family.
W.E. is survived by his sons; Ronald (Eva) Johnson and Roger Johnson; grandchildren, Amber, Travis, Matt, Leah, Charlotte, Jacob, Megan, Kayla, Jenna, Bryan and Alexis; 13 great grandchildren; brothers; Walter Johnson, Dwayne (Shirley) Johnson and Roger (Ina) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son Jacky, daughter-in-law Mary Jo Johnson, brothers, sisters and the in-laws.
